Bright Eyes & Bushy Tails Veterinary Hospital
We would like to take a moment to pat ourselves on the back! Today we successfully passed our re-accreditation evaluation with the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). This means that we are compliant with over 900 veterinary medical standards and remain amongst the 15% of practices in the U.S. and Canada that can claim this prestigious accomplishment. All of us are very proud to continue to strive for the best in quality care!

I wanted to be the only hospital in Iowa to pass with a perfect score on the emergency section. But we missed it by one section: not all of our overnight techs are licensed veterinary technicians.
Even so, I'm confident we're the AAHA practice with the highest emergency score in the state, just that we missed the 100% mark.
Maybe at our next recertification...once Iowa implements a certified assistant program. We're ever trying to increase our number of licensed technicians (and indeed we added one more who started today). But not like we, or any other hospital in the state, is going to fire our well trained staff who can't sit the licensing test because they went to the wrong schools.

[Brad counted for me - we have 9 licensed veterinary technicians. Thanks all of you!]
