Peak "poison your pet" season is winding down as fall turns to winter, but please please please: if your pet gets into mouse poison, call us (or get help from any other veterinarian). Even when the professional exterminator assures you that it's OK, it is not always. If you wait for symptoms then treatment gets less certain and more costly.
Hopefully you'll forgive my preachy tone, but it's been a tough last few days with too many unhappy pets and unhappy clients. I wish everyone a safer fall season!
Similarly sententious but not meant that way, we see most of our gunshot wound hunting accidents this time of year too. If you choose to hunt please don't shoot your dog. (That reminds me it's time for us to repost the "no hunting" sign in our ICU observation window.)
